Pick the one where you understand most of a story without effort, then read the same story one level up. A1 is complete beginner, A2 elementary, B1 intermediate, B2 upper-intermediate. You can change your level any time in Settings, and switch levels inside any story with the badge at the top.

Free: ten starter stories at every level, every other story at A1, word translations, saved words and a daily practice session. Premium: every story at every level, narration on every story, and unlimited practice. Premium costs €2.99 a month or €24.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial, and can be shared with your family through Apple's Family Sharing.

Subscriptions are managed by Apple. In the app, go to Settings → Manage Subscription; or on your iPhone open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Journeva. If you cancel during the free trial you are not charged. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Premium until the current period ends.

Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID you bought with. If you're on a family member's plan, make sure Family Sharing includes subscriptions. Still stuck? Email us with the approximate purchase date; never send your receipt's payment details.

Journeva uses the voices built into iOS. Better voices are free to download: iOS Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices → pick the language → download an "Enhanced" or "Premium" voice. If no voice is installed for a language, narration for that language is unavailable until you add one.

On their own. The app checks for new stories when you open it and downloads them in the background — you never need an App Store update for new content. Settings → Story updates lets you check right away. If you're offline, everything you already have keeps working.

On your device only — see the privacy policy. Settings → Reset progress clears favourites, saved words, history and streak while keeping your level and narration speed. Deleting the app removes everything.

Check that notifications are allowed for Journeva in iOS Settings → Notifications, and that Focus modes aren't silencing it. The reminder is scheduled on your device; it never needs an internet connection.
