It is October 1928. Virginia Woolf is a writer. She goes to Cambridge. She speaks to women students there.
The women study, but they cannot get a full degree. That changes only in 1948.
In 1929 her talks are a book. It says: a woman needs money and "a room of her own". Then she can write stories.
Money means time. A lock on the door means quiet. One free hour at the kitchen table counts too.
