Ten Minutes of Walking

No time for the gym? A short walk after meals can do more than you'd think.

Level A1 · Beginner

Daniel worked at a desk all day. He always said he had no time for exercise. Going to the gym felt like another job on a long list.

A friend gave him a small tip. "You don't need an hour. Just walk for ten minutes after you eat." Daniel was not sure, but he tried it for one month.

So after lunch, he did not look at his phone. He walked around the block. After dinner, he did the same thing. Ten minutes here, ten minutes there — it did not feel like exercise.

By the end of the month, Daniel saw real changes. He slept better. He had more energy in the afternoon. He felt less stressed after work.

Scientists say short walks like this help the body. They also help your mood right away. You don't need a big plan — just a door, and ten free minutes.
