The Patient Bread

Four ingredients, one minute of stirring, and an overnight wait that does all the kneading for you.

Level A1 · Beginner

This bread does not need much from you. Only four things: flour, water, salt, and a little yeast.

Mix them together. Stir for one minute. The dough looks rough and wet. That is correct.

Now, walk away. Cover the bowl. Leave it all night, in a warm corner of the kitchen.

In the morning, look at the dough. It is soft. It has small bubbles. All night, tiny bubbles did the slow work.

Put the dough in a hot pot. Bake it in a hot oven. Soon, your kitchen smells like a bakery. And you did almost nothing.
